Anna and Michael had a beautiful fall wedding! It was a little bit cold and windy, but the sun was shining and it was a perfect day for a wedding at The Wright Farm. You may remember Anna and Michael from their gorgeous engagement session that we did at Serenbe last year. I loved everything about their wedding day. One of my favorite parts of the day was during the ceremony when Anna and Michael released balloons into the sky with well wishes and blessings from their friends and family tied to them. It was so fun, just like Anna and Michael! Anna said that her favorite memory from her wedding day was seeing Michael for the first time. They choose to do a first sight, so they had a chance to privately see one another before the wedding! I love it when brides and grooms choose to do this because it makes the day so much more relaxing and allows lots of times for photos of the lovebirds!
Here is Anna and Michael’s love story, as told by Anna: “Me and Michael met while attending youth group when we were in middle school. We grew up knowing one another in church, but we were different ages so we didn’t hang out very much. Michael moved to Alabama to further his career as a helicopter mechanic. In March 2014, Michael decided to contact me via Facebook to catch up. He finally asked for my number and asked me out on a date. Michael had planned to take me to the Braves game for our first date, but when he decided to come home (Newnan) for Easter, he wanted to see me sooner. Our first date ended up being my favorite restaurant which is Tin Lizzy’s. We talked for hours over dinner and we both felt a connection. Two weekends later Michael came back to see me and took me out on our second date to the Braves game. I knew he was a true gentleman when he drove from Alabama to Kennesaw to pick me up and take me back home after the date was over. Me and Michael immediately clicked and decided that we wanted to make the long distance relationship work. Me and Michael got engaged on August 17, 2014. Michael proposed to be on the Atlanta SkyView overlooking Atlanta. Both of our families were anxiously waiting for us at Centennial park to celebrate with us our special day! Michael picked out my ring and made all the plans for the engagement without me having any idea! And…..the rest is history!”
Enjoy their beautiful wedding photos!
Anna’s garter was made from her mother’s wedding dress. It was a special heirloom that she was able to include in her wedding attire!
Anna and Michael’s friends and family threw sprinkles for their exit! It seemed slightly painful, but it was so fun and creative!
