Where do I even begin when describing Abby and Tate? They are one of the most genuine couples that you will ever meet. Abby was bursting with so much joy on her wedding day, her smile was infectious! These two are absolutely perfect for one another.
They met at a gym in Athens, and after a short whirlwind of dating (12 dates in 3 weeks + long distance dating), they knew it was right! Tate says he knew after their first date that Abby was the one. Throughout their dating process, they both prayed fervently for clarity and the Lord was so faithful to lead them down the path towards one another. Neither had ever felt so much peace about any one decision than they did about pursuing one another despite the uncanny timing and the painfully long distance. The Lord is faithful and he has proved it in their relationship in so many ways. When Tate lost his mom to cancer, little did he know then that his future bride would be going through the same thing years down the road. God knew that Abby would need that comfort that only Tate would be able to provide! 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
Abby’s Favorite Memory from the Day: “Can I say all of it? For starters my Dad being well enough to walk me down the aisle and whip out a dance to Sweet Home Alabama with me, a HUGE miracle & answer to prayer as he has been fighting metastatic cancer and was admitted to the hospital again the week before the wedding. The look on Tate’s face when he saw me walk down the aisle. The ceremony led by Tate’s dads best friend and long time Pastor Dean Ropp. Sitting at the sweetheart table watching all of our guests enjoy the reception… DANCING! My dress made with love by my sweet cousin and Bridesmaid Heidi Hunt. All of it. It was perfect.”
And of course Tate’s favorite memory from the day was seeing Abby walk down the aisle for the first time. Enjoy this beautiful wedding! Give it time to load because I had too many favorites from the day!
Abby’s engagement ring was very special. Tate custom designed it to reflect her style and used his mom’s diamond from her ring. His parents decided to give it to Tate after she passed away as their way of setting their approval on Tate’s future bride.
