Devin and Peter met when they were in college. Devin hadn’t been much into dating and was content with being single and walking with God. Little did she know that God was moving her future husband into her apartment complex! They met through mutual friends and before long, Peter began to pursue Devin by serving her- opening doors and fixings things in her apartment. She had never met such an intentional and godly man, and was smitten from the start! They got engaged at the Botanical Gardens chapel in Athens just a year after starting their relationship.
I photographed Devin and Peter’s wedding at the White Oaks Barn in Dahlonega, GA and it was a dream! The whole day was very Christ-centered. You could tell that serving one another was a very important foundation for their relationship. I asked Devin what her favorite part of her wedding day was, and this is what she had to say:
“I loved the ceremony! I was so ready to commit myself to Peter before our Heavenly Father, and I knew it was the beginning of a beautiful journey- a journey prayerfully seeking the Lord together and aiming to embody Christ’s relationship with the church. The whole day was a fairy tale!”

Peter gave all of his groomsmen these awesome pocketknives. It was such a thoughtful gift and all of the guys loved them!
Devin and Peter exchanges letters with one another before the wedding. They didn’t do a first sight, so this was a sweet way of communicating with one another before walking down the aisle.
Oh my goodness, I love it when the guys get into the pictures! It makes things so much fun! Peter and his groomsmen were so entertaining and had a great time playing in front of the camera.
